Kanam is dedicated to improving educational outcomes for elementary school children in Senegal. Founded in 2026, Kanam was born from firsthand experience of the gap between a child's potential and the opportunities available to them. The word Kanam means "forward" or "ahead" in Wolof, the most widely spoken language in Senegal. It became the organization's name — and its promise: that every child deserves a path forward.
